Well, we had our first Thanksgiving where we had to cook all the food ourselves. Let me rephrase…. HEATHER cooked all the food. Starting with the turkey, Heather cooked it for hours, even overnight and it turned out GREAT. She also cooked her grandma’s stuffing and it too was PHENOMINAL! We had some friends actually from our hometown-Millington that moved out here and they joined us. We ate out on the lanai and it was a perfect night to do so. Not to mention we put our Christmas tree up so we could start feeling the Christmas season. So here’s the pictures…. hey Memphis we will be there in 8 days!

So for Veteran’s Day we paid a little tribute for a fellow Veterans by taking the Kailua/Lanikai “Pillbox” Trail – well half of it. We wanted to spend at least an hour at the beach beofre the sun went down. The story of the pillboxes is that they were built in 1942 as a fire control station with the codename Podmore, for the 3 and 5 inch guns, in Wailea for defense of the Bellows Air Force station to the south.
There is a magnificent view of the Mokulua islands from here
The first pillbox is that small box at the top of the hill.
So tday we went to Waikiki’s Aquarium. It is actually a really good attraction here on the island, it’s also the 3rd oldest aquarium in the country. It’s not very large but has a great collection, here are just a few of them.
