Milo likes to eat chalk. Yes, CHALK… it goes in colorful… that’s led to a few laughs..
Milo has some cute new habits. Anytime she makes a mess or something she comes running over to me saying uh-oh and pointing over in the direction of the scene of the crime…..and drags me over there.
We took Oliver to the beach today, it was his first time being there and he didn’t like water AT ALL. We tried to walk him in the shallow portion first but he was quick to run out of the water. I eventully picked him up and took him further out with me,but he was shaking like a leaf on a tree so I brought him back in. We spent the remaining time just laying out and Oliver just loved that he could dig in the sand and never get to the bottom…
Well, I am sitting on our famous lanai thinking that you don’t really realize how blue the sky is until you come to Hawaii (or somewhere with low air pollution). That was the first thing I noticed on our first days here. The blues are really blue and the greens couldn’t be more lushes. So this blog is short. It mainly is a pictorial blog of Chinaman’s Hat. This is the area across the bay from our lania. So enjoy.
This past Sunday Heather and I went to Kaneohe Bay over at the Marine Base. They say it’s one of the best beaches but not many can go because of the restricted area. It’s awkward getting over there because you actually drive over the runway were the Marines practice landing and taking off… EVERYDAY! As you can see we didn’t get in because the water was to rough, however if you had a surfboard or boogie board you could take your chances. This is actually where one of the guys I work with comes to in the morning before work to surf because there is NO coral because the Marines took it out years ago so they could practice there beach landings. On a new note Heather finally got her call, YEAH!! Oh, here is a quick clip from our lanai
This is our miniature version of the brady bunch…. we are lacking in cast….come live with us and you will be considered for a position… 😉
this is when we walked around the waikiki strip. They have tons of unique little places…and they are having duke’s oceanfest, which is a week long surfing thing to honor a surfer from a long time ago. They had a hula as part of the oceanfest…..but unfortunately, i havent figured out the video thing yet…so that will have to come later…
This was the sunrise view from our lanai….. We woke up early….still on memphis/st. louis timeThis is down on the beach by our hotel…. the temperature was perfect…about 80 degrees
JR is tiny beside the palm trees…lol… this is on the other side of the island….it is more rural…
First dinner….j/k….the little crab on the beach
The mountains remind me of jurasic park and king kong…. they are so pretty
