Since starting baby led weaning, I have become more conscious of what I eat….because thats what Milo eats. I’ve tried to be more adventurous….eating things like leeks, beets, parsnips, baby corn. I remember seeing a poster somewhere about how different color vegetables give different nutrients….so be sure to get a variety of colors. Plus who doesn’t love colorful food. Did you know that cauliflower comes in white, green, and purple?! Well, Now you do. These are created by selective breeding (not genetic engineering). There is your fun fact for the day 🙂
I’ve gone back to juicing in the morning for breakfast. This was my wonderful colorful breakfast this morning. Kale, Cucumber, Beets, Blueberries, Celery, Lemon, Lime, Raspberries… It was actually very yummy.
And on another wonderful wednesday note, I am happy to report that I weighed myself and was shocked to find that I am below my pre-pregnancy weight… I am one pound lower than my lowest weight (since highschool). I don’t really know how it happened. I think its from chasing Milo around, eating no fast food, walking a ton more, and of course nursing. But yay!… just had to toot my own horn… toot toot!!!!
